What stories do the stones tell – Roman and medieval stone collection

The roman sections – since there are no relevant style eras – are presented according to chronology and the uses of the substance. First tombstones, altar stones, building elements then milestones are shown.
At the medieval section visitors see the characteristic pieces of successive styles following chronology. It starts with vague aged and recycled substances, then Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque materials are shown.
