Weapon collection

Balaton Museum created its weapon collection during WorldWar I. It consists of more than 2500 objects, like bridle, stirrups and spurs.

Balaton Museum's weapon collection was destroyed at the end of World War II. Its absence was filled at the beginning of the 1950s with ceremonial weapons from baronial palaces. In the collection there can be found special weapons of foreign countries and other continents. The weapons from prehistoric and Roman age, and the rabsic guns were put into the ethnographic collection. Our weapon collection is closed.
