Our foundation was established in 2005 with the aim of helping the professional work of the Balatoni Museum and the fulfillment of its mission.

The main goal of the Balatoni Museum Foundation is to help Balatoni Museum:
- the acquisition of works of art, artefacts and finds of outstanding significance from the viewpoint of the history of the Lake Balaton area,
- the work of artefact protection, the improvement of the equipment of the restorer’s workshop of the museum, the scientific research, the work of natural science research, the publication of scientific studies, the participation of the researchers of the institution in conferences,
- the organization and implementation of exhibitions to be organized from its own material, the organization and implementation of publications and catalogs related to the exhibitions, the publication of books and catalogs related to the exhibitions,
- other public cultural activities, children’s and adult activities, performances of folk arts and handycrafts demonstrations, and support for the museum’s appearance at external venues.
The work of the Foundation is managed by a Board of Trustees, whose members are:
