Opening hours

The Balatoni Museum welcomes visitors all year round, except Mondays and Sundays, from 9:00 to 17:00 every day. Read more about opening hours here.

Getting there and parking

The Balatoni Museum welcomes visitors in Keszthely at Múzeum utca 2. Once you are in Keszthely, the Museum is very easy to reach on foot. From the main square in the heart of the town, you should start walking on Kossuth Street in the opposite direction from the pedestrian street leading to the Festetics Castle. You are about a 10-minute walk away, and the characteristic building of the Museum can be easily seen from afar.

Tickets

1.400 HUF for adults, 700 HUF for students and pensioners. Concessions for families and groups are available. Read more information about our prices here.

Do you want to learn more about our exhibitions in a group atmosphere? Please book a guided tour and our museologist colleagues will introduce you to the secrets of Lake Balaton.

The Balatoni Museum allows and ecourages you to take photographs. Feel free to share your favorite photos especially on social media! Please use the hashtag # balatonimuzeum!

You can only take photos without the flashlight. To avoid accidents, photo stands should only be used with prior permission. The photos are for personal use only and may not be commercialized.
