Painter and graphic artist György Laluk is connected with the town of Keszthely through his secondary school years and many pleasant memories. Nowadays he’s dealing with graphics, etching and aquarelle painting.
Eastern philosophies and religions included Zen Buddhism and Taoism made a great impression on the artist’s conception. His pictures reflect transparency, flow, forms and layers melting into each other. „You cannot step twice into the same rivers” – sounds the ancient sentence. To seize the flying Time, the Present Moment, this is the main moving spirit of Laluk’s art. This way he tries to turn eternal and infinite the non-recurring and non-repeatable phenomena. In the pictures we can observe this intention on the shine effects or water currents.
